The Conservation Awareness Program (CAP) gives interested youths and organized groups an opportunity to learn about, appreciate, and understand Hawaiian soil and water resources.

Student teams or individuals, grades 9-12, compete in three hands-on land judging scenarios. County level winners will continue on to the State level competition. The program is sponsored by the Oahu Soil and Water Conservation Districts (SWCD) in cooperation with USDA-NRCS and U.H. Cooperative Extension Service.
